Wembley - 2000

It was the Auto Windscreens Shield during the Millenium year that saw Stoke City re - visit Wembley Stadium for a 3rd time. With chants of “We’ve never lost at Wembley” ringing around the stadium, it was Bristol City that stood in the way of a 3rd successive Wembley win. In another tight affair, Stoke’s star performers, Graham Kavanagh and Peter Thorne, scored the goals that ensured Stoke would once again be victorious on the hallowed turf in a 2-1 victory.
