Wembley - 1992

20 years on from the first visit to the famous twin towers, Stoke arrived back at Wembley in the Autoglass Trophy. Having defeated Peterborough in the Semi Final, the Potters were backed by nearly 40,000 passionate Stokies in what turned out to be a tightly contested final against arch rivals Stockport County. It was the battle of Little v Large in attack but it was the diminutive Mark Stein that came out above Kevin Francis by scoring the only goal in the second half to ensure Stoke were victorious for a second successive time.
